We’re at the all hands on deck, moving in a million directions, can’t-stop-won’t-stop phase of construction at Anakeesta. Everything is starting to take shape which makes for very exciting days for us. The Chondola Station is nearly complete, Firefly Village is actually starting to look like a village, the tree canopy walk is walkable and the ziplines are being zipped. Our vision is becoming a reality! But the thing that started this whole idea and one of the things we are most excited to share with you is THE VIEW.
The amazing views of the Great Smoky Mountains, Mt. Leconte and downtown are truly breathtaking. Views that would normally take a long car ride or hike to access can now be seen via a 12-minute Chondola ride from Downtown Gatlinburg, making these magical views easily accessible to everyone.
It’s not family-friendly unless it’s budget-friendly

Zipline guests return to the summit by riding the Chondola from the mid-station.
The Treehouse Village PlaygroundÂ
Trek along a log walk to an elevated bird nest to learn about how an American Goldfinch cultivates its home, navigate a plank walk to a maze encapsulated by a house in the trees, and crawl through a tube net to a climbing adventure within the walls of nature.
Our Treehouse Village Playground is will delight both the young and the young at heart as guests of all ages explore the different treehouses interconnected by multiple bridges with different physical and educations elements of varying challenge.
We’re Buzzing with Excitement
We’re excited to announce Savannah Bee Company as our flagship retailer at the Chondola Base Station located on the Parkway in Downtown Gatlinburg.
Scheduled to open in July, Savannah Bee Company offers the purest forms of honey for cooking and tasting, and hive-inspired health and beauty products.
In addition to Savannah Bee Company, we will have three shops located in Firefly Village that will feature local artists and craftsmen, outdoor gear and apparel, children’s toys, homegoods and more. We’ll be sharing some of the items we’re going to carry on Facebook soon so check it out.
Come Hungry
One of the toughest days on the job was when we were asked to do a pie tasting for our bakery, Pearl’s Pie in the Sky, which will be located in Firefly Village. Being the team players that we are, we obliged. We’re talking cobblers, fried pies, tarts, cookies and a whole lot of ice cream.
We will also have brews and barbecue at our food truck which will feature a diverse menu of Southern favorites including pulled pork, beef brisket and smoked wings as well as ample outdoor tables for you to enjoy your meal with a side of beautiful views.
So what we’re trying to say is come hungry. Come hungry for adventure, relaxation, quality time with your family, and yes, some pie and ice cream.
